A townhouse that spent its first life as a home, and is now at work. The listed features survived the change: carved mahogany joinery running floor-to-ceiling, feature fireplaces, panelled walls and tall sash windows, all kept intact and treated with care.
Studio Thirty Three supplied the furniture across the townhouse, which meant finding a way for commercial pieces to live inside domestic rooms. Boardroom tables and task chairs in spaces that still read as drawing rooms.
The balance came from softness. A deep blue buttoned banquette set into the mahogany, a rounded pink sofa against original timber, bouclé seating and generous curves to answer all those straight Georgian lines.
The result is a working building that still feels like a house. Residential in character, commercial in function, and entirely at ease between the two.
