“WE COULD HAVE SOURCED SOMETHING. DESIGN MADE IT DIFFERENT.”
Sourcing is what we do, and we love it. Hundreds of makers and brands, and the pleasure of knowing which one answers a brief. Most of the time that is the right answer, and we will happily say so.
The Collection is for the rest. The briefs where nobody has made the thing yet, where a material is too good not to build around, or where the wall is a strange length and the nearest answer would only ever be nearly right.
So we draw it. Where there is a designer, the idea stays theirs and we follow their direction. Then we go looking for the right maker, mostly British, often ones we have known for years, and we work it out together: proportions, finishes, how the joint should look, a prototype if it matters. We see it through to delivery and installation, because the last hour on site is the one that decides it.
Ideas arrive from everywhere: a finish seen in a workshop abroad, a detail in a showroom, a building we walked into by chance. The material is where it becomes real. Fabrics, timbers, metals, stone, cane and leather, chosen for how they will look in ten years rather than on delivery day.
Every piece here was drawn for one address. Any of them can be made again, altered to suit your own rooms, or taken as a starting point for something else entirely.
