The Old Bank was built to impress and has never stopped. Panelled rooms in deep polished timber, parquet laid in long herringbone runs, a stone staircase hall rising under ironwork, and doors heavy enough to need both hands.
Studio Thirty Three supplied the furniture throughout, working with the client’s in-house design team. The approach was restraint: modern classic pieces in pale bouclé and soft curves, set against all that dark timber so the architecture stays the loudest thing in the room.
Collaborating with British furniture makers, we designed a bespoke feature armchair for the building, made to hold its own in rooms of this scale.
In the grand boardroom, the furniture does the quiet work — a long table and considered seating, built for the decisions made around it.
