Salute by Sebastian Herkner for La Chance. A solid column of Nero Marquina marble, black run through with white veins, carrying a polished stainless steel tray.

Herkner designed it in 2013 and 2014 as a tall companion to the lounge chair, and describes it as a gesture of serving whoever is sitting down. La Chance makes it in three heights, and a few together become a sculptural coffee table.

Small, heavy, and entirely sure of itself.
