FIG, ORANGE AND CINNAMON, CHOSEN BY PICASSO’S GRANDDAUGHTER.
A scented candle from AMEN’s Picasso collection, created with art historian and curator Diana Widmaier-Ruiz-Picasso, a granddaughter of Pablo Picasso, for the Musée Picasso in Paris. She selected works by her grandfather and translated each one into a scent.
This candle carries Étude pour une joueuse de mandoline, 1932. The motifs she chose for the collection represent her grandmother, Marie-Thérèse Walter, Picasso’s longtime muse. For this work she chose a fruity, spicy composition with a Mediterranean character: ripe fig, bright orange and warm cinnamon.
The 200 g candle is hand-poured in Grasse in natural plant wax, free from paraffin, with a burn time of around 50 hours. The vessel is white Limoges porcelain, reusable once the candle has burned down, and the beechwood lid comes from reforested areas.
It arrives in plastic-free, biodegradable packaging made from mushroom mycelium and agricultural byproducts. Made in France.
