SIX GLASSES, EACH ONE MADE FROM THE PIECES OF OTHERS.
A set of six hand-blown tumblers by Stories of Italy. Each one is made from shards of glass that has already been blown once: transparent coloured pieces are fused into an opaque white body, and the surface settles into a terrazzo pattern of its own.
The Milan studio works with a Murano glass master and three artisans to keep Italian glassmaking traditions alive. Every tumbler is about 10 cm tall and 7 cm across, and because each is made by hand, no two in the set are alike. They can go in the dishwasher below 50°C.
Water, wine or a single stem. Six colours, and no need to match.
