LETTERS FROM
NEW YORK
“Three flights up, no lift, worth every step.”
Everything at once, all of it at speed. Letters From New York covers the showrooms and the auction rooms, and the flea markets that beat both: lofts turned into something extraordinary, the lobbies New Yorkers walk past without looking up, the makers across the river in Brooklyn, and the interiors that define what a small space can be. We cross to Long Island City for the Noguchi Museum, built by the artist in his own studio so that the galleries open to a garden he planted himself. Plus the hotels worth the rate, and where to eat at eleven at night.
Each edition carries the city’s palette, taken here from lobby marble and Noguchi’s garden; notes on sourcing from the auction rooms to Brooklyn, freight and all; and a letter to the city at the back.
Book No. 06. Cloth-bound hardback, foil-blocked. Individually numbered within its own limited edition, signed by Emily Ross. 40.7128° N · 74.0061° W.
